Rebooting Dormant Projects
Over the past year I've had "false starts" on quite a few different projects. I'm thinking of spending the holiday today diving back into some of these. I must be out of my CLI hyper-fixation and into desktop apps. I'm realizing now I've never really done much with Electron. All of the negativity around it must have gotten to me before I could start a project.
I don't even use any electron apps besides VSCode anymore.
PKMS (code)
This project is a wails + F# (seriously - Fable + Elmish/React is so cool) note taking app. I'd gone back and forth between Avalonia.FuncUI and this stack and have ultimately decided to return to it, given just how easy it is to write JS bindings in F# code.
Video Editor
This is a Tauri + SvelteKit video editing app I've been building to make simple text-based/markdown slide videos in standard landscape and portrait (for tiktok/reels/shorts, etc.) formats.
Beacon (docs)
I got so tired last night I forgot to wrap up the release, so expect that today or tomorrow!
Searching (code)
I got some really great feedback about a YouTube video thumbnail and topic. I decided to make the companion project for it, which has taken most of my day. Searcing is pretty interesting stuff. I'll have to write more about it.
